Advice letters as a means of socioconstruction of homosexual identity

This research is related to the area of Genre Studies, Critical Discourse Analysis, Socioconstruction of Identities and Systemic-functional Grammar. It aims to analyze the genre advice letter published in magazines directed to male homosexual readers. This study contributes to the comprehension of the relationship between discourse and social structures and its close relationship to the Socioconstruction of identities.
