Complaint letter: an analysis of the production context and the linguistic-enunciative marks

This paper discusses issues concerning the teaching of Portuguese, prioritizing the work with textual genres in the classroom once this can be an useful instrument in the teaching of the mother tongue. In order to accomplish this objective, an analysis of one letter of the genre "complaint", belonging to the order of argumenting (DOLZ; SCHNEUWLY, 2004), will be presented. The analysis verifies how the expressive resources are helpful in the production of meaning in the text, according to the production context, the linguistic-enunciative marks and the characteristics of the genre.
