Consonants, Vale do Cuiabá.Abstract
In 1999 I published in Portuguese in Brazil: Phonetic and phonological studies, also organized by Aguilera, an essay on the vowels from the speech in Cuiabá. Like in that text, in this one, in which I approach consonants, I still present part of the corpora analysis from Vale do Cuiabá or Baixada Cuiabana (as people say), Mato Grosso, for the research project Filologia Bandeirante. The aim in this work, still without making any connection with traces from any phase of old Portuguese - which is the aim of Filologia Bandeirante - is to describe the consonants heard in the oral speech in Cuiabá.
