A methodological alternative for introducing computational resources in the Teaching of Geometric Design and Descriptive Geometry

Considering the recent need of curriculum reformulation in the Architecture and Urban Planning Undergraduate Course at the State University of Londrina (UEL), Brazil, due to its adaptation to the technological changes in the job market, this paper presents methodological teaching alternatives that enable the introduction of computer resources in the teaching of Geometric Design and Descriptive Geometry in the Architecture Program. This paper was elaborated according to the steps of Charges Maguerez's Methodology of Problematization, i.e., observation of reality and definition of a study problem, key points, theorization, solution hypothesis and their aplicability to the reality. In observation of reality the needs of implementing recent technological resources to the Architecture Program are discussed. Next the problem to be investigated is defende, i.e., the search for methodological alternatives that enable the introduction of these resources in that course. In the key points the path to reach a solution is outlined. In theorization, the data obtained from students, professors and employees of UEL, as well as the data from the related Iiterature are analysed and related to the problem. Finally the solution hypothesis are presented through a teaching proposal for the course. It is also demonstrated how the proposal will be put into practice.Downloads
