This article deals with the use of natural light as a project line in the work of Oscar Niemeyer. This is an element that, as it is conditioning techniques, becomes a matter of architecture itself, providing answers to questions of function and also being shaped to cause emotion. Therefore, considerations are made about lightning events in significant buildings in the history of architecture; about the conceptual setting on which Niemeyer’s discourse is based; and about the analysis of some of his works. Finally, a demarcation is established as to the main concepts concerning the theme of light and the constructed and experienced objects.
