Algal flora of Tibagi River, state of Paraná, Brazil IV: genera Micrasterias, Staurastrum e Xanthidium (Zygnemaphyceae)

Abstract

This paper is part of research about the structure and functioning of  phytoplanktonic community of Tibagi River. Fifty nine samples were collected with a net of 39 pm mesh. In 27 of these samples it was found the genera: Micrasterias, Staturastrum e Xanthidium (Zygnemaphyceae). Thirty-two taxa were identified, having 27 (34,4%) of them been first records for the Stale of Parana. The Desmidiales contributed with 98 taxa from algal flora of Tibagi River having 73 of them (74,5%) been first records.
