Pediculosis capitis in mentally deficient non-iatrogenical treatment

The authors present a multidisciplinary work accomplished by professors and students from Medicine and Nursing courses at "Universidade Estadual de Londrina", and Santa Rita Special School in Londrina, in 1990. That school is linked to the menially Deficient Parents end Friends Association also in Londrina. We studied 141 Mentally Deficient students at the North Parana University Regional Hospital Ambulatory and we detected 35 cases (24,33%) of Pediculosis, We also fried a non-expensive, easy and accessible treatment with as less iatrogenicus as possible. The results observed in home visits and in the ambulatory showed the efficiency and validity of the treatment in all the cases without parallel effects.
