Metabolismo do cálcio: revisão e perspectivas

This study presents calcium metabolism review: the importance in the diet, the factors that affect the absorption, physiological mechanism control and dietary necessity. The low intake was evident and standartization of recommended needs must be made. Fortification program is suggested to minimize the low intake of calcium.
