The demand for environmentally friendly products, obtaining from easily renewable and easily accessible, lower cost, biodegradable, less aggressive to human health, among others, led to the development of technologies using natural dyes. This work develops a brief review of natural dyes, classification and origin, its chemical and structural properties and discusses the application of these dyes in devices such as solar cells - OPVCs (Organic Photovoltaic Cells), dye-sensitized solar cells -DSSCs (Solar Dye Sensitized cells) and light-emitting diodes - OLED (Organic Light Emission Diodes) among many other applications.Downloads
