Abstract
With the purpose of studying the epidemiological aspects of natural Toxoplasmosis in swine, 1.131 serum samples were taken from 12 herds from the region of Londrina in the state of Paraná. The samples were submitted to the indirect fluorescence antybody test, resulting in 37,84% of serum-positive. The rate of serum-reagents in each category was: sows 46,2%; boars 45,9%; young sows 36,6%; pigs in the finishing period 31,6% and in the growing period 14,7% (title greater or equal 1:64). Besides these results, contents and suggestion to prevent this infection in a swine herds were discussed.
