Abstract

This article examines the problem of recognition of Masters and Doctorate titles from the MERCOSUR countries, increasingly growing in Brazil since the proliferation of stricto sensu courses in the other MERCOSUR countries. The study concludes that the agreement signed by Brazil in the MERCOSUR does not exclude the requirement for national revalidation of these titles, under the Law of Directives and Bases of Education.

Professor nos cursos de graduação e de mestrado em Direito da UFMT. Coordenador do Programa de Mestrado em Direito Agroambiental da UFMT. Professor convidado de Direito Internacional Público e Direito Constitucional Internacional nos cursos de Especialização da UFRGS, UEL e PUC-SP.
