This study analyzes the identification process of the affected people in the mining axis of Projeto Minas-Rio - formed by the cities of Conceição do Mato Dentro, Alvorada de Minas and Dom Joaquim. Moreover, this research stems from Nancy Fraser's perspective of justice and explores this case as an instrument for developing a theory necessary for an effective identification process while still being able to be replicated and confirmed if other cases occur. Furthermore, this paper concludes that injustices from the theoretical framework's three dimensions alongside the project's installation process are damaging to a larger social perspective, specifically in the context of injustices from redistribution, recognition and representation and the latter could be obstructing the reparation of first-order injustices. In this sense, through the analysis of other cases of human rights violations in mining enterprises, it is possible to find patterns of business' and state's behavior that causes the need for the current model to be reviewed.
