This paper analyzes the practices of “JR Consultoria”, a junior enterprise of the Federal University of Parana (Universidade Federal do Paraná), with respect to the dimensions for knowledge management practices. Exploratory and descriptive research, supported by a case study and literature review was applied. The data collection was conducted through a web-based survey with members of the organization, including questions related to the knowledge management dimensions. The survey results were compared to the Brazilian scenario, to compare and contrast the junior enterprise with other types of organizations. The results indicate that the student scenario has a higher propensity for knowledge management practices, due to its experimental basis, in which, findings and mistakes have least impact in relation to mature organizations. Junior Enterprises are promoters of a real market experience for students. Thus, management practices that enable knowledge exchange and creation can multiply the notion of knowledge management in business.
