Objective: To identify the factors that influence knowledge sharing in virtual teams, aiming to improve knowledge management in these teams.
Methodology: A Systematic Literature Review was conducted, with an exploratory search in the Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases, in order to identify articles on the topic published in the last five years. Qualitative analysis was conducted using the content analysis technique, selecting 10 articles for a detailed examination.
Results: The main factors that influence knowledge sharing in virtual teams were identified and organized into five categories: individual, team, organizational, technological, and transnational.
Conclusions: Companies can improve knowledge management in virtual teams by adopting collaborative tools, promoting a culture of sharing, and investing in training. A comprehensive system is proposed to categorize the identified factors, providing a basis for more effective management strategies. It is emphasized that, since this is a Systematic Literature Review, it is not possible to evaluate the impact of these factors in different types of companies, suggesting the need for further research.
