Introduction: As an evolution of the permanent state of connection in which subjects find themselves in contemporary, mobile media have become one of the major mediators of being networked. Objective: To discuss the implications of the growing interpenetration of mobile technologies in social life and the changes that it has caused in the interactions among individuals and between individuals and information. Methodology: Reflection about the concepts of information, interaction and ubiquity in view of social relations and processes of sociability inaugurated in physical movement, and especially in the movement mediated by information and communication technologies. Results: In this relations mediated by mobile technologies, the notion of interactivity present differences in relation to other digital media. In this case, the ubiquity becomes a distinctive characteristic of the interactions in these devices. Due to the constant access to technological devices, new behaviors and attitudes arise and transform our productive and interactive capabilities. Conclusions: The interactions via mobile devices, in addition to altering the use of time and the role of place (ubiquity), can lead us to a better understanding of the relationships between subjects, information and technological devices. The question is not about assessing these changes in relation to positive or negative aspects, but noticing that the useof these devices eventually set up new ways of "being together". In this regard, we believe that the concept of information needs to be understood beyond the notion of "communicating something to someone," assuming a relational dimension.Downloads
