Abstract

This article aims to demonstrate the functionality prepositions from two different theoretical styles and thus contribute to the teaching of History. The concept of culture has been claimed, as its correlates as they relate to cultural diversity, and in the ambit of representations Social, the concept of figurative nucleus. In an attempt at dialogue between these theory styles, the methodology of 'Mediated interview’ was put in question the intention of measuring its limits and possibilities. We tried to identify the extent to which it cooperates in the changing of initial ideas, or in the figurative nucleus, from the student of Araucaria, State of Parana, referring to students of Manaus, in Amazonas state. This research resulted from a voyage, that I made, to this city in September 2010.
