Obesity is considered a multifactorial and complex disease. Due to the dimension that the disease has taken in recent years, several researchers, governments and international institutions, such as WHO and FAO, have been directing efforts to understand the factors that influence the increase in cases of the disease, as well as in the development of strategies that can control and prevent it. In order to understand and point out ways to formulate public policies related to obesity, the World Cancer Research Fund International (WCRF) developed the Nourishing Framework, an approach that allows the scanning of policies related to food, which is divided into three domains (environment of food, food system and communication for behavior change). The objective of this research was to analyze the Brazilian Public Food Policies (PPBA) according to the domains defined by the Nourishing Framework. The collection of data from PPBAs was carried out on government websites in the period 2003- 2017, resulting in 8 documents. The content analysis of the documents was made operational with the aid of the QDA Miner Software. The results showed some convergence of the PPBA with the domains “food environment”, “communication for behavior change” and “food system”, which is the least frequent domain.Downloads
