Nelson's research agenda and its points of contact with institutionalists

The aim of this study is to assess and analyze the determinants of pendulous migration in southeastern Brazil. To achieve the proposed objective is used in the empirical approach logit model and the data of Census 2010, released by the IBGE. The main results pointed out that the individuals most likely to be commuting migrants are: men; residents of the urban area; older people, income recipients of welfare programs; higher income people; and residents of Espírito Santo or Rio de Janeiro. Conversely, those who are less likely to migrate are white individuals, those with the largest number of children, who live with more people in the household, who have a lower education, and who reside in Minas Gerais. Thus, these results suggest policies for improvements in development in residential, work and study.References
