From specific bibliographies, are discussing in this work, concepts of public and private, the delimitations of its domains as well as merging them. This theoretical discussion allows the necessary basis for the cartoon’s analysis imaging Amigo da Onça the imaginary’s protester time and space. We find, therefore, in Péricles Maranhão’s cartoons, his creative artist, theme first occurred in public spaces. The time frame, however, (1956-1961), JK government’s period in which the pursuit of progress, modernization and consequently consumer culture, were in evidence in the country, enables meeting public and private, in a mutual invasion of these spaces. Thus, Amigo da Onça is taken as an imaginary’s symbol of its period, expressing in these assumptions their approach, highlighting different spaces and/or suggesting their meeting.Downloads
