Communication and popular participation in the implementation of Social Work in the city of Maria Helena-PR

Abstract

In the field of basic sanitation, the companies responsible for the project, in addition to carrying out the works, must carry out social work projects with the population in the sanitation area, aiming to contribute to the sustainability of the intervention area and the enterprise with socio-environmental actions that promote participatory management, social control and socio-territorial development. Thus, this study, carried out based on secondary surveys and participatory observation, aims to reflect on the importance of communication with the social subjects of the city of Maria Helena during the development of the Social Work Project in the context of the implementation of the sewage system in 2021. The participation of families living in the area where the sewage network was installed was carried out using different strategies that facilitated communication and mobilization of the residents of Maria Helena, a city in the northwest of Paraná.
