This article is a summary of a Master Thesis whose the main purpose was to answer the question: how do photojournalism teachers perceive the new National Curricular Guidelines? Identifying potential barriers to a balance that exists between theory and practice when teaching the discipline and thinking new guidelines as allies for the transposition of these, were some of the steps of this research. It was noticed that, although there are difficulties, teachers are constantly concerned with the balance between theory and practice when teaching the discipline.Downloads
