Abstract

This article offers a mapping around the state of the filmic research in the Latin-American and Colombian context in the years 2005 and 2015. From the qualitative perspective of -the states of the art- it analyzes articles and doctoral thesis relevant to conclude that, from geography, ages, representations, and heterogeneous discursivities, the knowledge produced, although it reveals the emergency of new aesthetics, shows a low intellectual production that suggests a dependency of the hegemonic tradition in the social sciences framework.
