Abstract

This article analyses the pictures that compose the series Microcosmo, from the sports section of the digital version of the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper and that refers to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Through a formal analysis of the images, we investigated the didacticism present in this particular edition, its resultant polysemy and the way photography contributes when creating discourses.
