Bahia’s photo clubs memory

Abstract

This work has as objective to disclose the historical passage
of the Photo Clubs in Bahia. The actions initiated for the Association of Amateur Photographers of Bahia, in the end of years 1950, and later the creation of the Cine Photo Club of Bahia, in the decade of 1960. These organizations had been of basic importance for the spreading and improvement of the photograph. Also, the accomplishment of first Hall of Photographic Art of Bahia with the contribution of the Museum of Art Modern of Bahia, considerable landmark in favor of the artistic photograph in the state.
