Abstract
The negationist movements, originally related to the holocaust, crossed the Atlantic and now want to erase the horror of the military dictatorship (1964-1985) from the history of Brazil. The Editorial Committee's attitude towards this onslaught against consolidated historical knowledge, the result of the work of hundreds of researchers, is to reinforce our commitment to the basic principles of historical knowledge: it is based on demonstrable historical evidence; making historiography is based on strict and rigid methodological rules and is scientifically validated by the community of historians.Downloads
