A reflection will be presented based on the theoretical-practical experience arising from the Curriculum Internships in Social Work, carried out within the scope of health policy in the period 2019 to 2020. The intervention project aimed at implementing Continuing Education in Health to the team of workers of the Psychosocial Care Network of Canoas, in Rio Grande do Sul. Continuing Education in Health is understood as a methodological strategy to reflect and evaluate the implementation and implementation of the Mental Health Policy today, as it represents an important means of resistance in the face of setbacks faced in recent years. The main results evidenced were the reaffirmation of the political dimension of mental health workers, their criticality about the lack of assistance, underfunding and invisibility of mental health that impacts a growing portion of the SUS user population, especially in the pandemic (2019-2020) covid-19.
