This work aims to discuss questions related to the new information and communication technologies (ICTs) in the teaching of the Spanish language and the importance of such technologies in the initial and continuing education of teachers of Spanish as a foreign language. By means of the theoretical contributions of the Corpus Linguistics, Johns (1991), Sinclair (1991), Sánchez (1995) and Berber Sardinha (2000, 2004), we present concepts and educational methodologies by means of corpora and discuss the necessity of global education of the teaching staff in the use of new technologies and their tools.
