This paper aims at contributing to the comprehension of the factors determining teacher’s stress increase, both in face-to-face and online education. Starting from the interpretations of the results from the analyses of official prescriptive texts (for face-to-face and online education) about teacher’s work, these data were interpreted in the light of the main concepts from the Activity Clinic (CLOT, 1999) concerning work in general and the characteristics of the prescriptions that can lead to the professional stress.
