Abstract

In the present text we analyze the environmental discursive construction by Veja magazine taking Amazon forest as theme. The research indicated that, between 1969 and 2008 tem journalistic texts raised Amazon up into discussion. From the analysis of the texts, the photographs and the cover’s titles, we believe in the possibility of observing Veja’s discourse about the theme. To achieve our goal, we present a contextualization on the contemporary questions on Amazon forest; the environmental journalism and a reading of the chosen texts through the perspective of French Discourse Analysis.

Lilian Reichert Coelho, Universidade Federal da Bahia

Jornalista graduada pela Universidade Estadual de Londrina (1998), com mestrado em Letras (Estudos Literários) pela UNESP-Araraquara (2000) e doutorado em Letras pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (2009). Atua como docente nas áreas de Teorias da Comunicação, Semiótica, Análise do Discurso e Redação Jornalística para Impressos.
