This article is a theoretical exercise in dialogue with several authors from different areas of knowledge that weave autoethnography as a theoretical and methodological research proposal. In this way, we have used autoethnography as a theoretical, methodological and analytical proposal to talk about racism, sexism and various other forms of oppression suffered by black people, especially in the context of Education. We present the autoethnographic approach discussed by us: black women, professors and doctors working in federal public universities. In this sense, we list themes/problems around our theoretical field of investigation and action, situated in a dialogued black feminist intersectional perspective. Our objective is, therefore, to provide a closer approach to this topic for a Brazilian audience, academic or not, that wants to reach the current state of reflections on this methodology. We are sure that this work does not yet exhaust the visits we are making to various authors who are dedicated to the subject. This is, therefore, a discussion that cannot be called exhaustive and definitive about autoethnography in Portuguese. It is a principle of dialogue that, we hope, can be complemented by us and other researchers.
