Having the INFANTE & ALVAREZ'S basic ideas on the health-disease process and work as a starting point, the authors try to analyze the health-disease process as a social phenomenon, relate the work process with the health-disease process and analyze the implications from the work in the health-disease process. They highlight the Positivism and Marxism philosophical conceptions that, throughout history, wilt determine the kind of society and the conception about the health-disease process, in a specific time and space- At the same time, the work, understood as a basic human activity, has right implications on the health-disease process due to the production-reproduction relations.
