The occurence of Cysticercus is rare in cats. The Cysticercus was observed in a cat's brain on postmortem inspection. The animal was nine months old and clinically there wasn't any nervous alteration. The cat died after poisoning with raticide (Fubarin). The small cyst was situated in the brain's occipital lobe. It was round, up to 5 mm in diameter and white in color. Microscopic sections through the lesion disclosed, that the Cysticercus had suckers, but no hooklets. The main tissue change was displacement of normal cells, with little lymphocytic reaction.
