The object of this research was to analyze the incidence of noise induced hearing loss among 48 telephone operators of the Company SERCOMTEL, Londrina, using audiological avaliation and otolaryngological history. Four audiological avaliations were made and results for the first audiological avaliation were compared with the last one. The parameter adopted was the threshold of audibility with phone contralateral to the ear and with out phone. The greatest threshold variation found, after four years, as 10 dB at 4000 HZ and 6000 HZ frequency; this threshold variation was found among 10 (20,83%) telephone operators. As this variation was mall and the age of operator was over forty in 60% of the operators, it is concluded that there has not been noise induced hearing loss.
