The frequency of staphylococcal intoxication requires constant improvements to provide more sensitive and practical assays for enterotoxins detection in foods. Considering that such an advantage is always related to an unexpected events, this view point approaches about recent available resources to reduce the problems associated with new techniques. Emphasis was appointed to the culture formulations for enterotoxin purification, as the remotion of food components which interfire with the most simplied method of enterotoxin detection, the latex agglutination assay- RPLA.
