Evaluation of Pigeon Pea Genotypes [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp]

Twenty five genotypes of pigeon pea were evaluated at Agriculture College of Jaboticabal - UNESP - University at December 1987 to January 1989 starding a breeding program desigued to improve agronomic and nutritional plant characteristics. Lines L6 ESALQ and ICPL 87 were earlier and showed better agronomic characteristics than other genotypes. They also had high protein content and could be mecanicaly harvested.
