Abstract

Two cases of ovarian teratoma are described in Nelore cows (Bos taurus indicus) in the State of Paraná. In both cases, one of them unilateral and the other bilateral, the affected ovaries were increased in size, with tobulated surface and soft consistence. The macroscopic and microscopic aspects of the neoplasm as well as the clinical diagnosis and the reproductive function of the cows bearing this kind of teratoma are discussed.
