Abstract

Nowadays it is not possible to understand a modern University which not be perfectly integrated on its geo-educational environment, receiving from it the necessary feedback to a permanent actualization of the teaching and research as well as the constant stimulus in order to perfect the human resources to promote the cultural, economical and social development of the community. The "Extension", in the understanding of the Brazilian legistaters, should take the University off the egoist isolation in order to extend to the community their advantages.
