Abstract
Since 1977, 132 horses of Itajaí Valley, Santa Catarina State, Brasil, have been examined, In 1991 the authors describe case of Fascioliasis by Fasciola hepatica in a female horse of approximately eight years of age, breading in São José Municipality. This has been the first time this parasite was registered in the State of Santa Catarina, Brasil.
