Abstract

This article seeks to establish some points of reflection on the relationship between music and school culture from observations related to field activities involving its agents in the learning process, mediated by the musical language. The school culture was observed from three aspects: listening individualized expressionless the body and the preservation of the culture of silence, are part of the school culture that school. These elements showed that pedagogical practices mediated by individual or collective music are valid as motivators for a new attitude of the community towards the process of teaching and learning and positively affect school culture , but this does not ensure its transformation , as the use musical language , in this case only established strategies and prospects for transformation , but not guaranteed objectively conducts regular community school that would change the habitus of the school culture .
