Cultura, Resistência e Identidade Camponesa no Território: o cerne da música caipira esvaziado nos acordes da música sertaneja

Abstract

The culture of the peasant territory is diffused through country music. In its historical process, the roots of the phenomena that formed the space of the redneck people culture were “forgotten”. With the advent of spatial and territorial organization in urban centers in 20th century, the rural exodus of redneck peasants boosted the introduction and acceptance of country music in the urban space. Driven by the Cultural Industry, country music passes to shape the organization of the countryside territory, which was formerly a space for the redneck people culture, became part of the country culture. As a result of this process, the culture from the countryside based on the progression of country music. This article seeks to present how the differences in the way of conceiving the territory by the social agents, together with the forces of capital in the urban space and in the peasant space, provoked changes in the redneck people culture for country culture. Set in the southeastern region of Brazil, early 20th century until the end of it, is exemplified in urban and social changes, the reasons for the distorted conception of the redneck people culture and its influence on the way space is understood, of the redneck territory. It was considered in the qualitative research and bibliographical review the studies for structuring the theme.
