Esta resenha visa apreciar as contribuições do professor Aziz Nacib Ab'Saber na construção do conhecimento geográfico através das considerações apresentadas em sua autobiografia profissional na obra. O que é ser geógrafo. A autobiografia de Ab'Saber chama atenção para as conquistas e dificuldades da busca do ideário ético e humanístico, em uma longa vida de um dos maiores geógrafos já atuantes. A obra é um excelente livro para o início da carreira profissional dos geógrafos.
