The emergence of middle-technical-informational contemporary society brought new possibilities and need for constant updating. In this context, the school needs to rethink its role and your organization, so you can contribute to the formation of participating citizens of society and its transformation. Geography as a discipline school can contribute, through the Geotechnology as teaching tools for school the integration technology and the study/analysis space. It is noteworthy that using this tool as an end in itself, does not contribute to social transformation, but we need to rethink always so critical and reflective teaching practice, so you can succeed in the teaching-learning. From the above, this present aims at reporting an experience in extension project “Potential use of Geotechnology as teaching resource in teaching and learning of Geography”, held at the Normal School Padre Emídio Viana Correia, in Campina Grande – PB, in the second half of 2011, as well as address the need to rethink the practice of teaching and the importance of teaching Geotechnology.
