The creative being in postmodernity: the invitation in "The Little Prince"

Creativity is fundamental to subjectivity, being the marker of a life worth living. Its development is dependent and conditioned by several processes that occur in the subjects' childhood. In view of this, the question arises: do the new forms of subjectivation that emerge from postmodernity affect such processes and, if they do negatively, can they be managed? To better understand the correlation between postmodernity and subjective development, a theoretical-reflective psychoanalytic methodology was used, based on Freud, Winnicott, Lacan and sociology authors, using the work "The Little Prince" as a guiding thread for the proposed constructions. From this investigation, it is noted that postmodernity causes damage to fundamental aspects of subjective development such as an impoverishment of the symbolic register, an exacerbated individualism, a narcissistic culture and the weakening of the social bond. From this perspective, it is concluded that a possible way out of postmodern subjective illness is the (re)engagement of the social bond.
