Photography in educational practices: a (re)interpretation from Rancière's Perspective

This article presents the results of research involving the photographic in educational practices and aims to reflect on the photography as a sign and point out the possibilities of reinterpreting educational practices that add the photographic. In this way, aspects of the photographic are presented from the perspective of Barthes, Flusser and Peirce, among others; ideas from Rancière's work The Emancipated Spectator and, finally, a reinterpretation of educational practice involving the photographic is presented. The article is relevant because it shows that the ambience constructed in the classroom involves the translation of signs by the teacher and the apprentice and emphasises the education of the gaze, with a focus on the contemplative gaze.
