Abstract

Starting from the concepts of minor photography (GONÇALVES, 2009) and crystal image (DELEUZE, 2007) by Fatorelli (2003), we herein seek to think about Robert Frank’s work as the germ of some possible contemporary photojournalism, in which
moment its primary function, information, shifts by the imposition of new formats. Therefore, there is the appearance of a new sort of image, which, without missing the characteristic referentiality of journalistic image, points out other possibilities, a more intimistic reflection, besides the immediate journalistic fact. In our work, such new image is detected in the printed photojournalism of Zero Hora newspaper. Thus, we establish a play of opacity and transparency in photographic visual information.
