Abstract

The target of the present article is to delineate the concept and the main atinentes characteristics to taxes IPI and IPVA and, from now on, to analyze the relation between both, mainly in what it refers to the impact that the reduction of the IPI on automobiles provokes in the collection of the IPVA and for consequence, in the Brazilian economy. In this meantime, also the impact of such measures will be glimpsed, as well as an analysis of as the federal government and the states of the federacy face such situation currently.
