This paper aims to discuss representations of cyberconflict in science fiction cinema from 2000 to 2012. It seeks a socio-political perspective on conflict in cyberspace, the representation of people and contexts in which it unfolds, while also relating the emergence of these representations with the historical context of the digital sphere. This paper adopts a critical perspective with elements of rhetorical, semiotic and discursive analysis, focusing on the following questions. Which characters, settings and contexts of cyberconflict are represented in science fiction cinema of the last decade? How are technologies, social groups and individuals represented? Finally, how are the underlying power relations represented, and which are the dominant values that shape these representations?
