Abstract

A group of 36 day old rats whose testis were partially resected was studied in order to check the possible effects in the contralateral testis and if these effects could indicate a compensatory hypertrophy. Structural modifications where found in the contralateral testis suggesting the compensatory hypertrophy in the subjects whose gonads were examined 15 or 30 days after the surgery. The group which showed the most evident variation, was the last one.
