Abstract

This paper presents a method to obtain a quick fitting of the function n (t) = n₀(l+at)^b. The method calculates the parameters a, b and n₀ based on four numerical values of the function n (t). The usefulness of the present method is in estimating initial parameters for iterative fitting methods and in apprais ing the quality of a group of experimental data.
