This study aimed to understand the perceptions of high-risk pregnant women admitted to the Inpatient Unit regarding the physical therapy service at the University Hospital of Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The methodological procedure of the research was designed using a qualitative approach, descriptive purpose, and case study with data triangulation. Data triangulation was performed in an integrative literature review, data collection from the hospital's electronic medical records, and application of a questionnaire to the participants during the months of September and October 2024. The results showed a profile of high-risk pregnant women aged 20 to 40 years, predominantly white, with a prevalence of preeclampsia diagnosis. The outcomes were positive in the perception of pregnant women regarding physiotherapy in the hospital setting, as a pleasant experience, and walking was the predominant activity in the testimonials. Through data triangulation, it was considered that although the participants had no prior knowledge of obstetric physiotherapy, the experience of hospitalization enabled the physical and mental well-being of the participants.
